Petrina holds a Diploma in Laboratory Technology from Swinburne University and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management through Australian Catholic University. She is currently studying to complete a Masters in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management through Australian Catholic University.

Petrina has 11 years' experience as a field sampler for Water, Wastewater, Soil and Asbestos Air Monitoring. This involved working in a number of industrial sites ranging from large mines to National Parks and waterways.

Petrina was also a NATA signatory for Chemical and Asbestos Analysis for 11 years. During this time she ran a number of analytical instruments for water analysis.

Petrina has been with HAZCON for 5 years and during this time has been involved in asbestos and hazardous materials audits, air monitoring and clearances. She has also completed a number of chemical monitoring assessments including Clandestine Drug Laboratory testing and recommendations, mercury and lead assessments. She has experience in noise and dust monitoring as well as mould and indoor air quality assessments.

Petrina is the HAZCON NATA representative and is also a HAZCON approved analysts for Asbestos Identification and Asbestos Fibre counting.
