Australian Dangerous Goods Code Review

Posted by Andy Perry on 16 September 2022

Many organisations may be involved with the logistics of dangerous goods, as a result you should have some knowledge in relation to Heavy Vehicle National Law for Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code.

The National Transport Commission (NTC) has some great tools and resources that can be freely accessed to assist, such organisations. Recently, the NTC have released a video presentation Comprehensive review of ADG Code 2021-24 | National Transport Commission (ntc.gov.au) that describes the up-coming changes with the ADG Code.

The presentation describes the core principles of consignment and transport requirements for the carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) and Rail (RID) including mixed packing and special provisions of carriage and relevant documentation to be completed.

The presentation takes approximately 50 minutes and well worth investing some time in viewing the information.
