Nationally Recognised Asbestos Removal Training – Class A and Class B

My name is Stephen Gleeson, and as a trainer at HAZCON (RTO 21519), I specialise in delivering courses that focus on creating a safer tomorrow for our industry.

In our training room, we make education interesting, engaging and valuable for those who are looking to enter the industry and gain their licence.

We systematically cover everything that is involved in the safe identification, removal and disposal of friable, and non-friable asbestos containing materials (ACM), in accordance with WorkSafe requirements and in compliance with the OHS Act 2003 and Regulations 2017.

Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that was widely used in construction and many other industries for its fire-resistant and insulating properties. However, exposure to asbestos fibres can lead to serious health issues, including lung cancer, asbestosis and mesothelioma.

Given these risks, certified training in asbestos removal, both friable (Class A), and non-friable (Class B) is mandatory for compliance with the OHS Act and Regulations.

HAZCON is a leading provider of nationally accredited training programs that equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge for the safe handling and removal of both friable and non-friable ACM’s.

Key Aspects of Asbestos Removal Training – Class A and Class B

  1. Understanding Asbestos and its Risks
  2. Regulatory Compliance
  3. Safe Work Practices
  4. Asbestos Removal Techniques
  5. Emergency Response and Incident Management
