The purpose of this Silica Awareness training course is to provide learners with an understanding of Silica Dust, its health risks, the issues it may cause in the workplace, and appropriate control measures and implementation, PPE, air monitoring and health monitoring.
Please note we do not use any Silica Dust during our training. This professional development course offers critical insights into workplace safety and risk mitigation strategies.

To be successful in this course the student must satisfactorily complete 1 assessment task.
If required; students are provided with two re-assessment opportunities on the day. Access to our appeals process is available in our student handbook should the student wish to consider that option if competency hasn’t been achieved after two re-assessment opportunities.
On successful completion and assessed as competent you will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by HAZCON Pty Ltd for, Silica Dust Awareness Training.

As of 15th May 2022 all workers/employees who are likely to be exposed to risks associated with high risk crystalline silica must undergo training. HAZCON has developed a short fun fact filled 2 hour Silica Dust Awareness Training program.
