More information

Professional workers in construction, renovation, and demolition should be aware of potential asbestos exposure risks in older structures. The removal of asbestos requires specialised training and this Unit of Competency is essential for anyone engaged in the removal friable asbestos.

Our course is specifically designed to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills required to identify, prepare for, and safely remove friable asbestos containing materials (ACMs).  *friable asbestos is also commonly referred to as Class A asbestos.  Friable asbestos is asbestos that can be easily crumbled, pulverised or reduced to a powder by hand pressure. We include realistic work scenarios and simulation activities, and allow students to take a hands-on, practical approach to their learning.  The content is delivered by our experienced Trainers who are engaging, encouraging, and highly regarded industry professionals.  Please note we do not use any asbestos containing material during our training.  Regardless of the project scale, this professional development course offers critical insights into workplace safety and risk mitigation strategies.

To enrol in the CPCCDE3015 Remove friable asbestos training course, you must have:

Participant in TLID0021 Store and handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances training for local council in Victoria, 3 December 2024

“I’ve had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from the team regarding the DG training you conducted in December last year. The team thought you were very knowledgeable and were able to convey the information across in an engaging and enjoyable manner. As you have visited our sites before, you understand how our business operates and was able to tailor the training to make it relevant and suitable to our needs. Everyone enjoyed the mock chemical spill evacuation drill and thought it was an invaluable experience. No doubt this demonstration will be run at my other sites as well.
One of our workers also mentioned that this was by the far the best training course he has ever attended!
I want to thank you again Andy for what you’ve taught us and I look forward to working with you and Kim again soon.”
