Course overview

Aim: The 2 hour Asbestos Awareness training session will give participants a general understanding of asbestos, its health risks and the issues it may cause in the workplace. It will also provide them an overview of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation.
This course is suitable for: Managers, supervisors or workers who may have to deal with asbestos issues in the workplace

As refresher training for those who have undertaken our 4 hour in-depth course in the past.
Training type: This a non-accredited training course
Duration: 2 hours. Training can also be tailored to your organisation requirements in varying lengths such as 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes sessions)
Session times: At a agreed time
Delivery mode: Face to Face and Live Online
Location: Client site, Notting Hill, VIC 3146, and Zoom Online Webinars
Course price: Depends on Location and number of participants. Please contact us for a proposal.
Course inclusions: The course includes comprehensive training materials and notes for each student.
Certification: Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion, issued by HAZCON

The purpose of this Asbestos Awareness training course is to provide learners with an understanding of asbestos, its health risks and the issues it may cause in the workplace. This course will also give participants an overview of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation.

Please note we do not use any asbestos containing material during our training.  Regardless of the project scale, this professional development course offers critical insights into workplace safety and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Identification of asbestos products;
  • Risks and health effects of exposure to asbestos;
  • Relevant health and safety legislation; and
  • Responsibilities of owners and occupiers of premises which have Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM)

This course usually contains an assessment at the end, time permitting and in consultation with the client.

On successful completion and assessed as competent you will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by HAZCON Pty Ltd for, Asbestos Awareness Training.

On successful attendance, but no assessment, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance issued by HAZCON Pty Ltd for, Asbestos Awareness Training.

In order to identify individual learners’ requirements please bring to our attention any candidate that has any needs such as; literacy, access or, medical restrictions so arrangements can be made prior to course commencement.
