Manual Handling OHS Alert

Posted on 1 July 2015

What would you do if a single category of injury represented around 60% of your WorkCover Insurance Premium?

A recent telephone survey of some Councils reported that in many cases Manual Handling injury rates in Local Government were so high the effect on their premium in some cases amounted to 60% of the total compensable claims.

Is it the same at your Council?

If WorkSafe visited your Council, would you be in a position to say you are doing everything possible to control hazardous manual handling?

What can you do about it?

Let HAZCON help:

HAZCON can assist you in developing workable solutions, not just the same bland policy, not just the same tired old risk assessment template but real solutions that actually work.

In one Council, HAZCON assisted in lowering their WorkCover premium by $500,000 per year.

With expert consultants HAZCON knows Local Government
