Richard Whitlam

Principal HSE Consultant and Trainer

Background

Richard has over 15 years of practical experience in providing complete asbestos project management services.  He has worked as a consultant for one of the largest asbestos risk management companies in the UK, managing asbestos remediation projects to ensure compliance with both client and legal requirements.

Richard has a broad range of experience in the engineering, health and construction industries. He has experience in many areas of occupational hygiene monitoring and provides consultancy services to clients throughout Victoria. Recent projects range from conducting noise assessments to the monitoring of TNT during the manufacturing of explosives. He is an approved signatory with our NATA accredited asbestos laboratory.

Richard also holds a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training and is actively involved in the presentation and development of vocational education and training programs at HAZCON.

Richard manages HAZCON’s Asbestos and Occupational Hygiene (AOH) team of HSE Consultants who travel Australia-wide looking after our clients and their projects.

• Bachelor of Science
• Certificate IV in Training Assessment.
• Certified Lead Auditor Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (Exemplar Global).
• NSW Licensed Asbestos Assessor LA001299
• Holds – Construction Industry White Card.
• Holds – Working with Children Check.
• Holds – First Aid Certification.
