CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry 'Construction Induction Card'

Under the Victorian OH&S Regulations 2007 all persons performing ‘construction work’ at a workplace must be registered to do so.
EMPLOYERS MUST ensure that anyone employed to do construction work has a “Construction Induction Card” prior to commencing any work. This includes apprentices and anyone completing pre-apprenticeship training on-site.
This Nationally Recognised Training course has been developed to meet the requirements of the OH&S Regulations 2007, Chapter 5 – 5.1 Construction.
Duration: 8 hours
Aim: The course will give participants basic OH&S knowledge legally required to undertake designated work tasks within the construction industry.
Key Areas Covered: This Nationally Recognised Training program addresses the following elements:
- Identify OH&S Legislative Requirements
- Identify Construction Hazards and Control Measures
- Identify OH&S Communication & Reporting Processes
- Identify OH&S Incident Response Procedures
Certification: On completion of this course participants will be issued with a “Construction Induction” card (formally known as “Red Card”) from WorkSafe Victoria and will be registered to perform construction work in any Victorian workplace.
Target Audience: Anyone who is to perform “Construction Work” in a Victorian workplace.
