Compliance Code Refresher Training for “A”
or “B” Class Asbestos Removalists
The NEW Victorian Compliance Code for Removing Asbestos in Workplaces were released in September 2008. This Compliance Code recommends that all Asbestos Removalists attend regular refresher training as follows:
“Refresher training needs to be conducted every year for class-A removalists and every two years for class-B removalists.” (para 88)
Duration: 4 hours
Aim: This course will refresh participants knowledge of the legal requirements and practical skills required to safely remove friable/non-friable asbestos containing materials.
Key Areas Covered:
- Legislative Requirements including Ramifications of any new Provisions within the Victorian Compliance Code
- Preparation, Planning and Undertaking Friable/Non-Friable Asbestos Removal Projects
- The Inspection Process
The course content will vary depending on the specifications of the asbestos removal licence held by your organisation.
Target Audience: All organisations who hold a current class-A, class-B or restricted class-B asbestos removal licence.
This HSE training course is not currently available in HAZCON's public training schedule. This course can be conducted 'in house' at your company's premises or at HAZCON's specialised training facilities in Trafalgar or Notting Hill.
